Cotton terry absorbs moisture and breathes, so body heat moves through instead of building up underneath you. This is the difference between a protector you keep on the bed and one you take off in August.

Choose 30cm for a standard mattress, or 40cm if you're running a topper or pillow-top. Stretch elastic on all four corners keeps it flat.
